You have the choice of 2 power options, 12 volt and 5 volt. With the 12 Volt power you wire it to the battery of the car. With the 5 volt power we supply you with a 5 volt power pack. Neither power option is interchangeable. If you order the 12 volt, the LED Strip is only rated for 12 volt, and if you choose 5 volt the LED Strip is only rated at 5 volts and must be used with the supplied battery pack. You can not connect the 5 volt power option to the battery of the car!
